At least the scene was well made. One of the pieces of trivia I didn't know about the show up until a few days ago was how much research they did on decomposed bodies. The zombies in the show were designed in such a way to reflect what would happen to actual rotting flesh.

That scene really showed this off. Those zombies really looked like rotting bodies stuck in water for a few years.

Also I was pretty sure bob had been bitten, it was almost a no brainer especially when he came up and said "yeah now I'm fine" and the whole 2nd kiss thingy... Although I did think when the priest said he's commited sins everyday.. Thought it was gonna be adultery or something lol.

My guess for the markings on the church is I think the priest captures people and basically sells them to the terminus group in order for protection/food
