Not much practice needed I think until I actually put them to use for hunting
It's easy to draw and aim without having to worry about the noise you make and at non moving target that isn't aware

I can probably hit like 2-4 inch groupings at 20 yards with the 2 compounds
Will zero in some sights I bought today later on the Oneida

Compound bows are fairly simple and easy to shoot from standing position
