there is definitely something off about the guys that Daryl ran into.

Maybe they are people from the Terminus? Maybe they will accept Daryl with them and when the other people will come, they will be like, no you don't come in. And Daryl will be like, wait they are my friends, and people will start to fight.

Maybe. They're calling them the marauders. Though the group in the comics only consisted of 3 people, this may be them. It may be the hunters.
The marauders weren't given any names though, the hunters were more fleshed out. So it could be a combination of them.
It's possible that they're the saviors as well, kirkman wants negan in there since negan is the next major villian after the governor.

What stood out most about the men Darryl ran into, is when the guy said something like, "Suicide is stupid, why hurt yourself, when you could hurt other people?" He said that last part with a maniacal smile on his face

Just seems to me like they aren't good guys.

Another thing was right after the punch to the face and everyone was aiming at Darryl, one guy said he wants his vest, which tells me these men have been killing/robbing people.

there was two people talking to darryl...the other dude was definitely saying some weird shit..trying to find a clip but havent been able to

Yes, I believe that they are not good guys, Daryl will probably understand that or see someone he knows and wake up and do something.
