well a tank is different.

there was one, and you can't really use a tank for anything else.


Gas on the other hand is cooking/driving. Yes there is propane for cooking but there still is only so much with no resupply.

Not all fuel is created equal.

im not going to delve into why you are o wrong... but a one time use tank for the purpose of intimidation them the attempt at taking a "safe" location is not the same as people earlier in the thread wanting to see makeshift flamethrowers to just kill zombies.

Rambo would not have used a rotting dead body as a shield. Rambo would have realized that it wouldnt have been effective at blocking gunfire. Darryl is just the sex symbol for the show he brings in a lot of female viewers and they are to dumb to care about logic.

Cool episode, one thing that bothers me though is how often the protagonists seem to win in these gun battles kind of unrealistic. Like how do you fail to hit a single person with the tank when the guy inside is a trained tank operator and the distance is what 100 yards? I get that it's a TV show but you have 20 bad guys vs like 10 good guys and the out come is i think like one unknown dies on the good guy side and all the bad guys die.. i guess no one can aim huh. Also 20 people firing at Rick with automatic weapons 20 yards away and all he gets is a scratch.. come on now..

Some of what you said is usual tv bullshit but some of it is just wrong. Hitting a very specific target with a tank it not as easy as you seem to think. And with the defenders advantage small armies have survived and/or decimated far greater number differences than that of the show. 20 v 10 if the 10 have defenders advantage they should win 9/10 times.

Agreed, just because he had training and was close, doesn't mean the tank shot would have hit. Training and actual combat are different. Also even if they had number advantage, Rick's group is more seasoned than the Governor's meaning Rick's group had the advantage. Not only that, they had defender's advantage, plus the Governor's group was kind of attacking up a hill/Rick's group built defenses and fortified the prison for attacks (Because they were afraid the Governor might come back). Rick only got away with a wound to the leg because the battle started and not everyone was shooting at Rick. Plus again they probably do not have the experience.

Not to mention fire doesn't kill them, gotta remember the episode when Milton set the zombies on fire.
Plus they're extremely dangerous with a real flamethrower, makeshift ones are even worse.
Then there's the whole lighting everything on fire and having a slow moving firewall heading towards you if you light a herd on fire.
