One interesting anecdote the novels talked about, but which the series is silent about.
Long long ago, Peter came to their father to court Catherine, and was rejected by her father because he was probably the single lowest noble in all of westeros, lord to a measly patch of land containing not even 50 people, with no real produce, no house even wants the allegience of house Baelish. I don't remember why but he was allowed to stay at court for a while anyway, and he courted Catherine in secret behind her father's back and Lisa courted him.
One evening at a ball Catherine danced and danced and laughed in his arms the whole night, then left him with blue balls. So, he went to Lisa who gladly gave him her cherry, eager to show him that hes loving the wrong person, and got with child. Peter was banished from the Vale, and Lisa was forced by her father to drink their equivalent of the morning after pill, called moonherb tea.
Lisa has never, ever forgiven neither her father for killing her unborn child, herself for being too weak to refuse drinking the tea, or her sister for stealing Peter's heart from her, as she later learned they kept dating in secret until Catherine was forcibly married to Ned.
So, that's the interesting skeleton in the closet of that perfectly balanced and healthy family, the Tullys!
About the son, I won't say anything but he definitely have short term plans for him. We see pretty quick too that he's annoying like that because of how her mom raised him. The minute he gets some responsibility, he starts maturing.
Or at least, in the novels he does, considering how different myrcella and tommen are compared to the novels, and how different cercei's reaction is to tommen and his new wife, maybe they'll go a different direction as well
