Rick didn't confront him. Shane killed Randall and used his "escape" to lure Rick out into the woods alone so he could kill him. Had nothing to do with what he thought was best.

Rick definitely confronts him and gives him a chance to walk away. Shane wants to get rid of Rick so he can be the leader because he thinks he could protect Lori better than Rick.

Shane didn't just fucking up and decide to kill people, he isn't the governor; he thought getting rid of Rick and becoming the groups leader was the best thing, in his mind, that could happen for the group + mainly Lori, but also the group.

I disagree, Shane tried to kill rick purely for his own benefit. He was in love with Lori and was becoming a little insane

Can you imagine Shane vs the Governor?? Haha, too bad he died; I still miss his character.

You're stuck too much on looking at it from an outsiders perspective. Do you not remember the fights Rick and Shane had about how to manage the group, or how to raise Carl, etc?

I want to see a re-write, where Shane succeeds in killing Rick. The show would be way more exciting lol.

And Shane definitely wasn't trying to kill Rick for the greater good of the group, it was because of his own selfish desires.

will this show get better or what....? all they do is go on the run every episode, some one gets killed, more people get butthurt over something ...its pretty much same shit over and over

i thought this seasons was supposed to be about government anyway...

Walking dead is supposed to be exactly how it is, trying to retain humanity, rebuild what little they can while trying to survive in harsh unforgiving conditions. If you want non-stop action yo keep your feeble mind amused might I suggest a movie such as Dawn of the dead where there is little room for an actual plot or character development?

i am not big fan of characters in walking dead and acting / dialogue is not even near as good as in GOT or BB, this show not even following comics story line which is much better apparently

And you're ignoring the discussion he had with Lori and how he tried to rape her and the discussion Lori had with Rick. In fact, you're ignoring the entire plot line where he killed Randall to lure him out alone so he could kill him, not for the better of the group but because he was so twisted at that point that despite Lori telling him to go away he still thinks he has a chance.
