No offense but both those situations sound very idiotic. If either of those are true I will actually stop watching the show. It is very possible that the guy will show up later in the season, the whole watch thing etc. but to say he is some psychopath who killed the girl he was with and has been protecting is absurd.
We don't know anything about his story. We don't have any evidence to suggest that he is or isn't a psychopath. Shane and the Governor were able to go around acting friendly too, but when the opportunity came to betray their close friends, they managed to pull it off just fine. The show has established that this type of betrayal is a norm in this world, there would be nothing absurd about it.
I'm not claiming I think those things will happen, those just happened to be what popped into my head when I first read the previous posts. I'm just taking blind stabs into the unknown abyss trying to explain why she may have ended up being eaten yet we don't see him around, he didn't show up at the rendezvous and no warning gunshot was heard (as they had discussed). The obvious explanation to jump to, of course, is him having some sort of ulterior motives. This is enhanced, imo, by the watch making us think that there could be something more to his trail. I would love to see more people proposing better theories than mine, that's one of the reasons I click on the thread.
