Since the EU is abolished they don't have to make plagueis a munn, he could be any species at this point.

What Abrams says is irrelevant anyway, they aren't going to give it away.

They didn't abolish the EU, they clarified what was canon. There are still things outside the movies that are considered canon.

And in the current canon we haven't seen plagueis or referred to him as a munn.

It's basically abolished because it's irrelevant .

I never mentioned plagueis in my post, derp. Just clarifying what you didn't seem to understand about the EU change.

Most of it was changed to legends but there is still an EU outside of the movies.

This was done to streamline the actual universe so it made more sense. I believe Marvel are also doing comics right now that will expand the canon.

Apparently snoke is over 1000 years old so I'm not sure if he is plagueis or not, but I kind of hope he isn't.
