The show is whack as fuck, but it's better than The Walking Dead or nothing at all.

I skipped most of this 2nd page as it's crazy banter and don't want any spoilers..

I just dropped in to say that BAXTER is the SHIT and Episode 4 was righteous.

I don't know what people are expecting from this show, but it's overall an easy watch, solid visuals and light work. Solid ambience/music.

So far, it's the Wesker & Baxter show, IMO. Billie GG.

* i will say this show seems largely conflicted, people hate it or really enjoy it

I am now on the last episode and can't wait to finish it, so I can be done with this trash. The writing is agreeably bad, the first 4 episodes were fun and used lighting/scene transitions well. After the 4th episode, it becomes a story of two sisters going back and forth over the same shit, repetitive dialogue, inability to move the story and just 'cheese'. I did not enjoy the second half, which sucks considering how much I was enjoying it through the first half of the season.

They did well with the zombie lore

It started just getting cheesy AF and .. bad writing.

I see now this company also did the Amazon Prime Resident Evil movie from 2019, I have yet to watch that film. Probably won't.

I think for context the sister thing is okay but they really lean too hard on it as filler. Most of what needs to be said in the flashbacks could be done in ~1hr worth of screen time rather than constantly going back and forth between the two all the way to the end. At first it's kinda nice but the longer they spend in the flashback the more tedious it becomes.

Na. There's references to the games, but as the movies don't follow the games at all, you're not missing anything.

The movie isn't anything special, but it's by far the most faithful to the games. If you've played RE1/2, it's a fun watch just to see the games come to life.
