This show was so disappointing. Cool concept that could have led to a great show and instead we got... this

My biggest problem with it was the glaring plot holes and inconsistencies. The worst of them was that after five got the briefcase towards the end, nothing else should have mattered at all and there should have been no way for them to ever lose. Unless I missed them stating that there was a limit on time travel use somewhere he literally had infinite tries to stop the apocalypse (and he could have just went back in time and stole the same case over and over again if there was a limit). Even if he was worried about the butterfly effect which was very briefly mentioned he could have just groundhog dayed the last day before it and wouldn’t have been able to make a huge change. Anyway everything after he got the briefcase was just manufactuted tension that shouldn’t have actually existed and all it did was lead up to a weak as shit ending

The worst inconsistency is how Luther becomes a massive useless pussy after he grows up and gets turned into a super monkey. Like when he was 7 or whatever it was he threw a grown ass man out of a window 30 feet off the ground when they rescued the hostages but when he’s an adult with arms the size of oak trees he two handed smashes hazel’s back when he’s on all fours and it does literally nothing. Hazel is just a regular dude he should have been turned into soup. This is like plot armor but instead of making characters stronger it makes them fucking useless, which is way more boring and frustrating to watch

I have more examples of both of the above but I’ll limit it to the most obvious ones so I can get to how abysmal the action was. How anyone can manage to make action in a show where people have powers as cool as five’s or diego’s or ben’s is truly a mystery, but they certainly managed. The only two scenes that had (almost) passable action were when five fights those people in the diner in the beginning and when they’re freeing the hostages as kids and Ben goes into the room and massacres like 4 dudes. But neither of these is actually good because in the former the scene is dark as shit and you can barely make anything out and in the second one they hide the action behind an opaque wall. I would think they were trying to make up for having a low budget or something if I didn’t know that they didn’t have one.

Maybe the most disappointing action of it all is at the end when they’re in the theater and Ben comes back. He’s clearly the most op one out of all of them and he’s about to kick some ass so we get a great scene of him... just fucking standing there while a couple tentacle arms grab people. Get the fuck out of here there is no excuse for that he could have been so cool if they had him use the arms in a doc oc sort of way to get around extremely quickly and brutally like the mimics in edge of tomorrow or just ANYTHING else. The only reason for this is laziness and it is just insulting


Tl;dr if you like good shows, don’t watch this. If you like bad shows that are still entertaining, this isn’t it. If you like shows that leave you annoyed and with a bad taste in your mouth, this is the show for you

Have a few episodes left but I'd give it a 6.5/10

Yeah, been busy. Forums are turning to shit more every day, so it's hard to keep coming back.

Have to be honest, I haven't been keeping track of it. Afaik, all the same cast, so I'm hopeful.

Will watch the last episode tonite. It is a decent series. It has kept my attention which is rare

Last two episodes were the worst of the show. Still an enjoyable ride, but a few major plot holes and lots of bad decision at the end, left me with a meh feeling. We'll see where they go with next season, but I'm not optimistic after how this one ended.
