He's 100% an over-the-top kinda guy, but his roles in both Friday and the Fifth Element were phenomenal. It made sense and he killed it. The polar opposite dynamic between Tucker and Willis is a huge part of what made the entire final act so fucking perfect. I can see how people could dislike his acting style, or thinking he's too annoying, but for me he was perfect in this movie and it wouldn't have been as good without his completely ridiculous (and sadly dead on) portrayal of where the entertainment industry was heading.
