Thought the square was way too exhausting and boring most of the time. Even went to the cinema to see it. Had some realy great scenes, especially the dining scene was incredible. I liked the subtle nuances and the social satire about philistines. But yeah, just too long with nothing mayor happening, could have been 30-40 mins shorter.
And yeah Paddington 2 was awesome.

I don't even know, the years have been horrible.

Logan - this was actually good in my opinion, a strong r raged take.
Get out - enjoyed it so I'll add it here because it's really the only thriller
Blade runner - I have a soft spot here but the climax seemed horrible. Visually however it was strong and iv always enjoyed that SciFi soundtrack. Storyline seemed off.
Baby Driver - pretty enjoyable actually.
Wind river - okay two thrillers. Slow but good acting and good dramatic scenes.

I have not seen Dunkirk or Molly's game.

I also did enjoy atomic blond I guess it's my John wick. Mindless action.

Biggest disappointment in years - Alien... So much anticipation for that let down.

Yeah I agree, 2017 was a poor year for movies. Although there was some really good movies, the ammount of good movies was a real disapointment. Blade runner, Alien covenant, Black Panther, IT are 4 movies I really enjoyed watching and have actually rewatched. The one movie for me that stands out in 2017 and it is not one many would expect, (Mayhem) I forgot about it until now. Starring the guy who played Glen on the walking dead, this movie was epic lol and a must watch.

The reason I made this post was to try and find some new gems O have not seen yet and for otherd to possibly look and see something new as well. I appreciate some of the movie ideas (a quiet place) I have not seen yet and amd downloading it now lol thanks looks good actually. I downloaded T2 Trainspotting from someone elses list as well and it was just as fucked as I expected it to be. Going to download Equalizer 2 as well I think.

I am actually going to go through 2016-2017 and post a list here soon, just because now I am currious to see how small the list is actually going to be. (

Random new movie idea for people
2015 there is a movie if you have not seen and are 25+ years old you need to watch this movie (Turbo Kid) it is simply amazing and will put a smile on anyones face who grew up in the 90s lol.



I have to disagree with Alien being a disapointment. I loved Promethius and I love how they connected the two movies. I get it though it is hard to remake these great movies, you get much better CGI but much worse acting. I guess it is all opinion though, some people say new is better.

I had different expectations for Ripley Scott I was hoping for something out of the park. It was still not a terrible movie I was just over hyped and when you get to excited the disappointment is greater.

Yeah I try to avoid watching trailers for that reason. Get so hyped to see the movie and then blah, last movie I was over hyped to watch was (Get Out) and I wasnt fully disapointed but really? The trailer made it seem so much better.

It is hard to match a movie like Alien so I appreciate the effort atleast.

The new alien movie was fucking garbage.

One thing I need to ask you though. Did you watch Promethius?

I like what he is trying to do by connecting the two movies, would not call it garbage but you're alway's entitled to your own opinion.

Prometheus was also garbage.

Although I wouldn't call it straight garbage I'd call it a disappointment as well.

It was not the rejuvenation I was hoping for.

Now Alien vs Predator, that's some steaming trash, in my opinion.

I still liked them both, me and my girl really enjoyed Alien Covenant. Guess it is all opinions but also I like new stuff better. I can't even watch something if it is not 4k, it is automatically garbage to me if the quality sucks.
