- Even if you haven't read the book these movies were complete trash. LotR actually improved on the novels in a lot of ways imo, I found the writing to be far too boring in that trilogy, and while I loved the books, the movies were more enjoyable for me. Hobbit was just a fucking joke though, and Jackson went full retard on every aspect of that film.
My top list of films is changing all the time, but here are a few of my favorites off the top of my head. These are in no particular order except for the first one, and I'm sure I'm missing a ton of great/important films, but these are just what popped into my head right away.
