Dredd was a massive surprise for me. I had nothing but low expectations when I first heard they were doing another remake of an old.movie, especially because it's not a good movie to begin with, but somehow, they completely exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable and made a remake that was exponentially better than the original.

Agree with you on everything you said about transformers though. I still don't get how people defend those movies, or ANYTHING that Michael Bay does. Ya, it makes money, and he'll be able.to keep making his terrible.movues, but that doesn't make them good. Almost everything he's done is terrible. I thought the first Transformers was alright, and even though it's totally cheesy, I still like The Rock.
