All of you bashing on marvel, let me ask you a serious question: Do you like Star Wars?

Because if you say you do, then all of you aren't hyprocrites. Star Wars is so bad lol, and the numbers they get are just as crazy as marvel. I think the last Star Wars is top3 in terms of box office.

SW is not the same type of movies as Marvel. Most big budget blockbuster these days are superficial action bullshit. Star Wars is popular for some good reasons that have some real depth to them.

Star wars are okay, but honestly don't know how it is so popular. It's mainly because of nostalgia

Somehow you find raw action cringe but not the cheesy one liners in Marvel

Well one good thing about star wars is that it's only once a year.... I don't mind that. Anymore and it would be overkill and they themselves know it

Lucas films has never gone bankrupt, Marvel has declared bankruptcy twice, despite licensing out some of their most popular characters for millions if not hundreds of millions. Clearly Marvel is #1, that's why they have so much fan support and aren't hemorrhaging money.

Marvel wouldn't be around anymore if it wasn't for Disney. Disney took Marvel and started making movies that appeal to the lowest common denominator, like you. And I mean that's not a bad thing, it is definitely a way to make a lot of money, but trying to argue that they are amazing films is just....

Anyways I bet you don't even read comics do you? I bet you are this big Marvel dickslut 100% based on the movies.

That was one of the things mentioned in the video I linked, which i assume you didn't watch. Currently sitting at 8 star wars movies in a 40 year span.

Granted, there are repetitive themes within the series (3 movies involve blowing up a death star). And we happen to be in the midst of a "one movie per year" run right now (after a long drought). But the fact that we never get to see Vader kick ass like that makes a brief scene more impactful than a typical modern action movie where you walk in the theater knowing that you will see at least 30 minutes of Tony Stark bayplosioning things

I couldn't give two shits about what that video said lol. 11 mins waste of time...
It's popular because people like to reminisce about the past movies.

Like I said they aren't terrible, but I definitely prefer other movies/franchises.
