There is a reason the Hobbit went for CGI instead of following in LotRs footsteps.

Am I daft? You quoted me talking about how using the green screen is cheaper and faster than not using it. I was defending my statement. Tons of people who work in the film industry will vouch for that just Google it.

Why do you think we see so many shit movies these days? Cutting corners isnt a good thing. The good studios charge a lot and as i said, its only perceived as a 'cheaper' option because its an open market and CGI stidios involvement directly effects the scenes that remain from source material.
