They picked an actress who is a fairly good body/vocal actor and isn't a very good facial actor to be the main character and then covered up everything but her face?
And the movie was marketed as being accurate and a display as to what the experience of being strandeded in space would actually be like and it was so incredibly wrong.
Everything in that movie from the casting to the science was terrible, but it looked pretty and I guess that is all that matters to you huh?
^So not getting to see Sandra Bullock's body was the real problem with that movie?
I don't think they ever claimed it was scientifically accurate, it's just a story that could take place in reality so gets more criticism
I thought it was better at this than like interstellar which actually tried with the science. Like the amount of time dilation they had on the water planet would have made it ridiculously close to the black hole and zero chance of it being habitable, not to mention that the planet doesn't rotate or orbit a star
I was thinking the black holes gravity would be a problem but the planet orbits it without rotating so doesn't experience the force, still the massive orbital speed that close to a black hole is stupid
