And it was obvious for anyone who knows anything about trailers, that that was literally the best this movie was going to get. That's a huge problem.... It's a simple tactic a lot of sub-par big budget films are using these days. Release an epic teaser trailer that you know doesn't capture the essence of your movie at all, from there, just keep releasing more and more shit content and the hype train is already too big to deter the average moviegoer. I could be wrong, this movie could turn out fantastic, I've been wrong plenty of times before. However, everything I've seen has lead me to believe that it's going to be a disaster. Casting seems bad, Smith is historically bad, and everything about it just has a cheesy feel to it... Not a good mix when your very first trailer tried to portray it as something dark and thought provoking.
Basically every single movie for the last ~15 years you can tell if it was going to be good if bad by the trailer. Shit movies have had shit trailers. Suicide squad has one if the best trailers I've ever seen in my life, clearly the editors and director know what they are doing, and you are using that as "proof" it will suck based on a history of bad movies having great trailers, a history which doesn't exist.
But you tend to hate everything so you will probably hate this, but at this point I think everyone knows that your opinion is always negative and has no correlation to a films quality.
