Kingpin is an amazing character, his influance in S1 was great too. In S2 somewhat decent. But he is just very poorly casted imo. The actor should choke himself out on my hand.
The Kingpin is one of my all time favorite Marvel villains, and I agree 100% that the casting choice was just poor. He doesn't fit the role, neither his voice nor physique are intimidating and I honestly don't understand the appeal.
Finished season 2 yesterday. The thing that pisses me off the most was the horribly obvious Elektra ending. The main thing about the Hand is that they're immortal and they can cheat death.... you leave their ultimate weapon dead and unguarded where they can easily take her, revive her, and we already know that she'll most likely not have memory of her previous life (at first, she'll regain it and go back to being good blah blah) and she'll be the weapon they've wanted/needed for so long.
I uh know, just pisses me off when they end things so predictably. Other thing that irritates me and I know it's stupid that it irritates me, but Karen is infatuated with Matt... they worked together for a long time, she's heard his voice for countless hours and she'd have to have his face completely memorized. How in the name of fuck would she not instantly be able to know that Matt was Daredevil.... Same thing they always do in Superhero shit (superman being the worst), but it seems like these latest comicbook adaptions are trying to be more realistic and well written, just a huge pet peeve. I'd recognize my wife's voice anywhere, I'd also recognize the voice of any of my coworkers or my boss regardless of whether or not she was wearing a fucking mask, especially a mask that only covers half your face when you have very distinctive facial hair lol. I uh know, I know it's stupid, just one of those stupid things.

Could have definitely gotten someone more muscular
Could have a better voice
But overall I don't think he's too bad
He's acceptable for sure, he's doing a fairly good job. He just doesn't fit the role well imo. The emotional aspect is a strange one for me.... it doesn't really jive with the character at all, I get that they're trying to do new things, but making a calculating, musclebound, and overall awe-striking man into a fat emotional wreck with a weird and honestly laughable voice just drives me insane.
The show is good, it's better than I expected. First season was a 7-7.5 for me. This season I'd probably go 8-8.5. I loved the Punisher, I was incredibly pissed with the casting at first, but he killed it. He plays a pre-revenge Castle perfectly and then we finally got a good look at him becoming that closed off emotionless psychopath that I love right at the end there when he finally wore his symbol. Really enjoyed watching his character develop. Elektra was meh, but she's always meh lol.
