Truthfully, going to the movies is hardly ever worth it. I'm not saying streaming or downloading is good in anyway, but by the time you see the movie, you've already nearly paid for the cost to on it on bluray.

With that said, I do go to the movies often, because it's generally a fun experience and the anticipation to see movies when they are released is drawing.

In other words, it's worth it.

Financially doing anything that leaves you with less money than you started is "not worth it". Which is why that isn't the fucking way you measure worth. Why do you insist on being idiotic?

I already explained the reasoning why.....did you not comprehend that?

Even though going to the movies is a social standard, and like i said i attend often, it's a complete waste of money when you can own the movie for $8 more(and that's just factoring ticket price, not concession stand).

With that said, I enjoy early morning weekend movies at an extremely discounted price which tend to have better crowds.

You take your girlfriend/wife to see a movie on a weekend night. Typically, for a non 3d movie, that will cost about $23 for the two of you. For $23 you're paying to view the movie once, where as for $19.99, you can own it when it's released on bluray.

I didn't say doing "nothing" is an acceptable alteration. I feel like i should give another example.... I go to the batting cages during the summer time, where I spend about $5 a week. I'm really only renting the chance to hit balls, whereas in the movie, you're only "renting" screen time. Owning a batting cage would come at a much larger one-time expense, whereas owning the blue does not.

It's CLEARLY obvious that in order to achieve certain entertainment in life, you have to spend money.

Spending $20 on a bluray isn't financially with it because you will never get more than $15 for it if you're lucky.
Spebding any money on any entertainment isnt worth it, you can get it all for free.

You're just an idiot, stop trying to validate your stupid post.

Seriously, you're lacking simple comprehension. Don't try to insult me just because you don't understand what i'm saying.

Going to the movies is worth it lol. 7-12 bucks only...

if you were paying attention, this is what i quoted. Saying the dollar amount is worth it solely on the price is silly because owning it is just a little bit more.

You're paying money for that "fun experience and anticipation"
Financially, it's worth it in your own words.

80% of my spending money is all in food or entertainment. (Food is pretty much entertainment as well)
:D
