It would indeed be blasphemy to have Luke be the definitive 'villain' of this movie by turning to the backside of the force. To do that appropriately, they would have needed another whole movie of story on how he got seduced.

That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if they pulled that because they are already in blasphemy territory. The Zahn Trilogy is canon. Any deviation from that, especially the absence of Adm Thrawn, means they have already gone off the deep end.

I don't think that luke, whether good or evil, is going to have a large role in this movie or the rest.

So the outcome of his evilness or lack of won't be a huge deal.

He was the first of the new line of jedis
They are most likely looking for him
He will play a big role in this trilogy just probably not the first movie
I can't see Han Solo playing a big role and not luke

Well some rumors are that he isn't much of this episode but the next episode he plays a much bigger role.

All I know is that he's the second name on the movie poster and yet his picture is not on the poster. All the originals are on the poster accept for him. There has to be some sort of foreshadowing/secret meaning behind that. Every 'named' on the poster is on the poster except him. Maybe I am thinking to much into that maybe I'm not. But it's Luke mother fucking Skywalker, something has to focus around him

i'm not a huge star wars buff. anyone know why lucas made prequels in 1999 instead of sequels? all else equal, the original actors would be 15 years younger and could have larger roles, then make the prequels in 2015 instead. off the top of my head, palpatine was the main actor who reprized his role in the prequels (other than a few voices)

i heard some guy committed suicide because the lead character is black not 100% on that as a I heard it from a co-worker.

Luke isnt even on the poster of the film, and not in the trailer as well. that's kind of weird, apparently, he'll not be in a lead role or eventually disappear? would be gay as fuck

He's a supporting role but most likely won't be a big role until 2 and 3
I think that this one will revolve around both sides looking for Luke
