I dunno I found it somewhat believable. Rocky came into the fight it wayyyyyy better shape and he's always been the guy to take a beating his whole career. 'It's not how hard you can hit. It's how hard you can get hit and keep going' even in their 'gameplan' they state how his opponent has the advantage in everything. And the only reason Rocky even makes it a split decision is cause the other guy breaks his hand. So he basically takes a beating the whole fight until he can attack his injured opponent.

That's semi believable.

Maybe I'll rewatch it sometime and try to be more neutral while watching
