A review is NOT a movie analysis, yet, a movie analysis can be or include some form of a review.

Get the point?

A review is to try to hook the reader into seeing or not seeing a movie and is very much an opinion.

theres more than one metric on rt for rating, not even talking about film analysis either

thats your definition of a review but that's not what they are, there can be a recommendation or caution in a review and that is opinion yes, but you stated earlier a review is an opinion when that is not true

From your personal experience the cup didn't break, which is a fact, but other people may or may not have the same experience.


Can factual evidence be used to form a review, absolutely, but the overall review is still an opinion.

Story was not bad for a comedy
Never had much of a "wtf seriously? Not funny at all" feeling on the comedic parts that I get from comedy's recently
Either made me laugh, smile, or chuckle

Fact is not opinion, when dealing with uniformity of product it is reasonable to assume that given my experiment and the results I recorded this can be assumed for duplicate products barring malfuntion, this is the basis for scientific reasoning, there is no opinion

overall a review is both objective and subjective and the part that are subjective are opinion

So then.....
