I didn't say it didn't make sense, I said it was different.

How they resume with season 4 will be quite the hardship.

Actually, now that I have had some time to think about it. It doesn't make sense.

Claire has been a strong character throughout the show. She held frank together. She supported him. She was his mentor, his consult. It doesn't make sense for her to become so incredibly weak as she exhibited in season 3, especially within such a quick, short timeframe.

we, as an audience, are led to believe that Claire changed as a character (her suddenly becoming soft), but I don't buy it. We also are led to believe that this, extremely dynamic duo shown in the first two seasons, could overcome anything.

Also, I can't find a single report concluding that there will be only 4 seasons. I'm not sure where you're getting that information from.

Just a guess. It's called House of Cards, 4 Seasons (4 suits in a deck) 13 episodes per season (types of cards in a deck) and 52 total episodes (total number of cards in a deck). Just makes sense lol.

Their constitution has been unfathomable throughout the show and it's finally gotten to them both, just in different ways. Francis has gone the other way and instead of becoming soft he's become more volatile, pushing away everyone around him in the process. It just seems like it's all coming to a head, I don't imagine this show will end pleasantly.

The only report I see on number of seasons is 10-12 seasons.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but it just doesn't make sense for everything to fall apart so quickly. Season 4 will be quite interesting because of this.

Doesn't need 10-12 seasons . He's kinda right it should end at 4 seasons

Yes, 10-12 is a lot, but this show has received so much positive recognition that it would be silly for them to stop at 4.

I think 6-7 seasons would suffice. Season 3 ended with too much downfall for frank. To have season 4 continue with that downfall to an end of the series is too easy, and quite frankly, be rather boring.

Ultimately, how I want the show to end, I would really like frank to die. I can't picture this show ending with him on top, neutral, or Ina slump. He needs to be killed, maybe in a humiliating way, or extremely dignified way. Either would work for me.

Suicide, calling it now. We've seen him break down before and Claire brought him back, what happens next time he's sobbing on the floor and Claire's not there.

We'll see, I can't possibly see this show running for too much longer, it'd just get boring. I mean honestly, what other obstacles does he really have to tackle? He's got the run against the Republicans and that's it, then he's President for four years (if he wins). Watching him just battle with congress repeatedly would get incredibly dull.

He seemed pretty against suicide in general in that conversation he had on the plane.

Season 4 hasn't even been confirmed yet. No chance in hell does this show run for 10.... where the hell is that number even coming from? The writer of House of Cards dodged questions even relating to a 4th season.... just not sure where the hell anyone got 10+ from.

this is the ONLY quote regarding the length of the show. So this is ONLY what we currently have to go by, in theory.

Well... you can't really go off that lol. Every actor wants their successful show to run forever. Once again, we'll see. I just find it odd that the writer won't even comment on a 4th season yet, we don't even know if it's in production. I love this show, I just don't want to see it drag until the point where I'm bored with it. Time will tell, I'm guessing this next season will be the final, I could see it possibly going one more after that at the very most.

I'm all for shows ending at the right moment, and not over-killing the run time. Yet on the other hand, I can't see them ending this show so prematurely given its extremely positive success and recognition.

We can fairly say that Kevin Spacey knows more about the production length than we do. I think we can agree on that.

In the end, we still have to wait another goddamn year! Blasphemy!
