Pretty much everyone had to be explained by Neil DeGrasse Tyson that the tidal wave was just 1 static wave and the planet was moving underneath it.
I figured it out pretty fast, but the friends I was watching the movie with didn't get it.
Saying they're not intellectually challenging only applies to people with an actual brain.
The sad fact is that the average IQ of people in North America is below 100. For an average to be below 100, you need people even lower than that.
Trust me when I say this, there are a LOT of people that we would consider absolutely retarded that are merely a few points below average.
They're intellectually challenged by those movies where just about everything is explained because even through the explanation they still have questions. Plus, they learn new things.
My only beef with that movie is the end and the tie in with "love". It pissed me off beyond belief, but the rest of the movie was really nice.
