To stay on topic with the conversation taking place within this thread, the next episode is titled "Murphy's Law"

Just thought it was funny.

Boring episode... no more chaos.
They do it [in the bunder], and his girlfriend will survive the landing.

[POSSIBLE SPOILERS]

I don't get something in this show

Shouldnt they have enough dropships and pods to send most people down since I think the purpose of staying in space was to wait for it to be safe to return to Earth and they talk about dropships

So instead of choosing to do what they did why didn't they just send more people down

I mean you might make the argument that it's too inhumane because most of the leaders in space think it will probably just lead to a slower death
but 1. they sent their juvenile youth down and they killed off people so it's not like they aren't opposed to making questionable/"necessary" decisions
2. they could have had actual volunteers this time
3. based on the fact that they didn't have the expertise or resources to fix their oxygen/environment/grid machine I think it would be reasonable to state that, unless they were capable of developing new technology with the resources they had, they now had an upper limit on their population and didn't need reserve dropships and pods for future population growth

Yea I feel the same.

Between dying immediately and having a chance to survive on Earth, I'd take option #2.

Obviously they can't really do that on a case by case basis, they'd have to send groups at a time. But for that mass murder episode, it would've made so much more sense to just send them down.

Definitely something with which I would agree, why kill 300 citizens, when they could have been sent down to earth? And since they lost all communication with the original 100, they could have put more bracelets on them.

Maybe they think it is more humane to put them to sleep and kill them.
I would not want to get in a shuttle and be sent to Earth where it could be an extremelly painful death.

Mind you, throwing someone into space without oxygen is pretty nasty also.
