How can you say that director and screenwriter failed twice in a row when the films make millions in revenue.
This is an excellent franchise from business point of view, and they have made tons of profit.

Because they were bad movies and the public is usually in a fairly general consensus about this. The last Air bender and Crystal Skull made over 300 mil as well. Please continue telling me about good movies. You're an obvious fanboy for w/e reason and that's fine lol. No point defending a bad movie because people are dumb enough to feed bad movies. Defending the 2nd or 3rd installment is just hilarious. The 2nd one had absolutely nothing good about it and the 3rd should have ended an hour earlier. Who cares if they made money?

He didn't say the movie was good.
He just said that the director/screenwriter didn't necessarily fail due to the amount of profit they made off of the movie.

Any other director who's done as horribly as Bay has done throughout his entire career, should not be allowed to make movies anymore. He had Bad Boys which was alright and the Rock which I really like, other than that he's done nothing besides make terrible movies. It's like giving M. Night Shyamalan never ending chances, I honestly just don't get it. You know he's going to make a sub-par movie at best, why not bring in someone who can make something above average. I really just don't understand the logic behind it. The movies are going to do well in the box office regardless, doesn't matter how horrible they are; I think Bay has gone out of way to prove this.

Ok
I was just pointing out that he didnt say the movie was good
So he post isn't wrong
Just saving you both from further argument by clearing things up
Hopefully

I appreciate that. I went out on a limb and assumed he was a fan of the movies and he probably believes them to be good, I honestly don't think I'm reaching that far.

Revamp, takes place after buff/fox time. Not sure how people are not getting this either.....

Everyone I've talked to hated the 2nd one (in person) and I've only met a handful of people who liked the 3rd lol. It's whatever though.

clearly tons of people liked it. clearly they made a lot of money off of it, enough so that making another seems like a good idea

and with all of your complaining about Michael Bay being a terrible director, he can't be too horrible if he continues to make large amounts of money for movies he's directed..

just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people won't

I'm not sure what you consider "failing" or "not working" as far as I know the 3 previous Transformers movies more than tripled their budget combined regardless of personal opinion. So why would they fix something that THEY do not consider broken. The fact remains that there are still millions of people who enjoy these movies for what they are. Action, explosions & half naked women. Like someone said previously, if you aren't interested in it then don't watch it. Bitching on here about how it isn't fitting YOUR standards isn't going to change anything.
