I thought it was more about overcoming peoples' irrational fears, including the ones about dead people coming back to life.

I don't mind a movie where the people have to get away, that's not at all the problem, I just don't like the way the zombies are depicted. I am allowed to my preferences and opinion, I will still watch this though and try to like it. Somewhat of a zombie enthusiast here

In interview with a vampire they say If a vampire drinks the blood of something dead, they will die. I'm not saying that's apart of any official canon. Vampires, like zombies, are usually whatever the hell the author wants them to be.

The book is down right amazing! im a huge zombie fan not because of the dead walking but rather how we has the human race would survive. The book touches on how our nations would react to such a threat, very political in nature.. Sadly The movie has almost nothing to do with the book.. Brooks sold the rights to it years ago. I will still go see it but I will not go in with high expectations.
