That's sadly the way of modern entertainment. All flash and no actual content. It's why 80% of my fantasy, story driven entertainment just comes from books these days. They can't fake a product by making it flashy and shiny. It has to actually be good and enjoyable to read.

Those first nine books in the first line I highly recommend the audiobook version. The narrator is amazing, audible
