The show didnt choose to kill off Tywin, he is dead in the books and certain events depend on his death. There was no choice as you will come to see very soon.

I know, I know... I guess I should have said GRRM dun goofed.

When GRRM originally planned this story, it was going to be a trilogy. The first novel was going be called A Game of Thrones (later turned into the first 3 books). Tywin's death was to take place at the end of the A Game of Thrones.

In the show, we have now passed the "A Game of Thrones" part of the story. So maybe because people are still expecting the story to "GameOfThronesy" that's why they are disappointed.

It is now "A Dance with Dragons" (except lol half the 'dragons' are removed or the show has never alluded to their 'dragon status')

Decent episode. King's Landing and Dorne stuff was totally average.

I fucking HATED the Sam/Gilly scene it made no sense AT ALL. The book actually progressed them in a way that felt natural. They could have at least had Sam to the slightest fucking positive thing so that what happened made even the slightest amount of sense, but no. Completely forced and retarded.

Ramsay story is going well. The deeper hole a character goes into, the better the redemption arc can be.

Tyrion bit has officially gone further than the book, which has me worried but hopefully there won't be too much else happening with them this season.

You mean Reek's redemption right? Ramsey's is gonna die that's for sure and I doubt he redeems himself before that.

I thought this episode was the best of the season. Rest of the episodes were meh imo.
High Sparrow/Queen of Thorne was awesome so was Cercei's downfall.

I didn't specify which character's redemption I was referring to in order to avoid being too spoiler-ish

At least the tits and killer body sort of made up for last week's Dornish disaster.

Major props for Peter Vaughan, he was Aemon personified and his death was done really well.

I'm liking KL developments, definitely liked Sansa's sass against Ramsay. All in all a far better episode than the last one.

Best episode of the season so far. I've Olenna Tyrell as a character, also one of my favourites. Finally that dumb whore Cersei got a taste of what's coming. I'm starting to wonder if I actually hate her more than Joffrey.

the Ramsey scenes nearly sent chills down my spine, plus we got some Stannis screen time
