I think you're forgetting that there's an INFINITE number of Ricks. Of all those Ricks, some dbags thought up a society where they could take advantage of others and do it under the guise of protecting these lesser Ricks from the government. Of all the Ricks, there's also an infinite number of them who would rather do shit for the rest of their lives and be protected, rather than fear for their lives. That's the thing about the show. Given the premise of their being infinite timelines, anything and everything is possible, regardless of how absurd.

Holy shit man, it must drive you insane that such basic shit just constantly goes over your head. Maybe not though, since you'd have to have enough commonsense to realize later on that something went over your head, and we both know you never think about anything well enough to get that far. I'd normally just tell you to stop and think for a few seconds before jumping on someone else's opinion without any thought, but with the level of intellect you continually show, I think it's fair to assume that no amount of time would have gotten you to that logical conclusion. Logic and basic reasoning just go right the fuck over your head constantly.
