i mean, they kinda did some foreshadowing with the hound and arya, but still didnt expect it to be so gruesome.

The show left the RW exactly where the book did. The decapitation thing was all offscreen and talked about by others. The only time it actually "appeared" in the books, was in Book 2, to Danaerys in the House of the Undying. But they decided to forego all the really cool and trippy foreboding stuff with Dany in favor of some weird awkward scene with Drogo and that warlock.

also disappointed that jon snow decided to betray ygritte and the wildlings at the worst possible moment :( . hes a stark after all :P


seriously, he killed* his friend and now he wont chop some random old horse breeder?

He killed Quohorin because Quohorin commanded him to do it and join the wildlings for information. Now, he had all the information he needed, and the command was obeyed, he needed to escape at that point anyway (to warn Castle Black). The old man would have just been an unnecessary cold blooded murder whose only purpose would be to maybe grant Jon another day with them, which he didn't need. Cold blooded murder is a pretty damn big deal for a good-hearted person like Jon.
