yep. vol 18 comes out next summer.

the TV show is only losely based on the comics, hard to see a TV drama story with no charactors..
daryl is not in the comics, so anything could happen.. hes also a huge fan fav - his character developement seems far from over

Considering the write of the comics is involved with the show i expect daryl to die at some point. That guy has no trouble killing a fan fav. I do agree though its unlikely he will die this season i think he has more development coming.

Lennie James is dealing with the woes of schedule conflicts. He wants to come back, the producers and writers want him to come back but he has his own show in the UK that he's working on.
We may get a little teaser at the end of the season if they managed to snag him for next season but there hasn't been any word and they would play something like that pretty close to the chest.
So for all intents and purposes, Morgan Jones is still alive.

Tell me why would they not contract him in if they have intentions of bringing him back in a later season?

They should have seen this coming when casting for Morgan.
