Okay... First off i didn't like the comic book so i knew i wouldn't like the show.
I hate how there's pregnancies,drama,and other outside non nitty gritty things. If anything that baby can be used for a scapegoat and they could punt it in a worst case scenario to hook the opposite way. I don't think ill ever see a truly good zombie movie/series with so much human compassion, even-though there backs are already against the wall. It would of got my interest if they Shane did kill rick and took over as leader. Would of been a way better time.

10.5 million people who watched the mid season finale would disagree

btw thats more viewers then any other show this year besides sunday night football

Amount of viewers says little to nothing about quality.

Without the pregnancies, drama and other things you'd just have ppl killing zombies/trying to stay alive...it would get old pretty fast. You need a few other things going on to keep the interest in the show.

Also, does anyone know why the Gov didn't want any other survivors outside around the town? I understand that larger groups of people would possibly attract more zombies but you'd also figure that with more people a town or other encampment would be better protected & somewhat safer (pros & cons to both obv)

i agree, cant just be zombie killing and dog eat dog. ppl would get bored.
personally i think that he is a little insane and that he possibly feels threatened by other people?

Because he's power hungry. He's afraid someone else will try and run things. Imagine if he let Rick stay with him? He wouldn't argee with all the slayings of random groups and the way the governer does things.

Trailer for next episode leads me to believe that Rick and co. go back, gas up the arena and rescue Daryl (and most likely Merl gets rescued too).
