Venom the last dance

Pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be. The venom/Eddie relationship and interactions are still by far the best part of the movie, but there’s other stuff to like in this one. Best action in the series, the monsters are intimidating and the movie isn’t bogged down covering them too much like both of the last ones were. There’s no shitty romance side arc that they’re trying to jam in this movie either which helps it a lot. It’s surprisingly funny too, but doesn’t go the normal marvel route of sacrificing serious moments for jokes. it’s balanced quite well

Granted there are still bad parts such as all the side characters being insanely under baked and uninteresting and exposition being super heavy handed, but it’s pretty easy to look past to end up with a really fun 7/10 movie

They’ve always had the recipe to make good movies because the foundation of venom and Eddie is so strong, but this is the first one where they actually managed to pull the rest of the movie together enough to make a product that’s worth watching

That's nice to hear. I'm surprised some of the reviews are ripping it

Most reviews I’ve seen from actual people say they enjoyed it, critics just have an absurd hate boner for the venom movies lol. None of them have been great but 20%s on rotten tomatoes is just unrealistic

They've had hate on some marvel films for a bit now.
Like there are some DC films that get 60+ percent fresh, and I've seen better Marvel films that got <40.

Box office wise? Or the quality of the film? Or the content of horror?
Or EVERYTHING

The Substance 2024

Very well made and cool movie. 7/10

SPOILERS

the gore was comical and way over the top at the end, it ruined the vibe for me personally. Would have been better if she just started loosing her body parts on the stage and that would be the end of it

Well I have no soul so I loved it. The quality is fine, each movie has had a better budget and this is clear here too.

I’m referring to some of the content. I felt like some unwritten rules were pushed/broken. I’m really only referring to one scene.

I read some of the reviews after watching it and it seems like a lot of people have been freaked out by it lol
