These were hints at most... As for the strip club scene I figured it could have more likely been taken as he was around that type of situation regularly due to his work and because of his intellect these things don't really interest him.
Yes you could probably have a decent chance of guessing this outcome if you thought about it, but it seems to me people in this thread are trying a little too hard to prove their deductive skills... When likely all they did was put the pieces together after the fact which anyone could do...
