This movie really suffers from having a protagonist who isn’t Caesar. There’s nothing wrong with him really but he is much worse. Still overall a solid movie and the visuals are awesome, looks like horizon zero dawn and sort of has a similar story which is neat

The ending is so fucking stupid when there are 80 apes cowering in a circle around the villain and rather than beat his ass 80 vs 1 they have to sing to some fucking birds to peck him to death. Holy shit what a stupid ass decision

EXHUMA

Korean Mythological Historical Horror

It was super good! If you're used to watching anime subbed I really recommend this movie. As well as reading will be second nature exhuma also touches on Japanese yokia (spirits).

It's not suuuper spooky it won't keep you up at night after watching though trigger warning for animal ritual sacrifice. (No living animals get harmed)

They got a proper Korean shaman to work on set as they used proper incantations, as it can be disrespectful to spirits if the words are incorrect. The shaman said that on set the main actress invocated a real spirit during the filming of one of the scenes, the actress had to quickly address the spirit and explain that she was just an actor. The cast and crew after that exclaimed that they felt deeply creeper out after.

Argylle. I feel completely conned by the initial concept and train scene. Just downhill completely after the first 15 minutes. Holy fucking bad. Like 2/10. Everything was so stupid.

Furiosa

It was good, but not nearly as good as fury road. The action was honestly fairly minimal with only 2 large sequences and the story and characters are simply not nearly good enough to fill the void that leaves. Long sequences of the movie are also quite slow, all to set up what is an incredibly shallow villain

There are some other good parts, such as seeing gas town and the bullet farm, those are very cool. It’s also interesting that they don’t try to pretend joe is some benevolent leader who takes furiosa in; all of the people in power are scum, it just happens to be Chris hemsworth who wrongs her

Overall like a 7/10

Where Evil Lurks - pretty good Spanish horror, starts of good but ending not as well put together or language barrier for me

God's crooked lines. Was rather confusing but worth watching if you're into "mindfuck" movies. Similar to Shutter Island which I loved.
