It's funny how people want Danaerys to come "avenge the Starks" or some such thing. She hates the Starks just as much as the Lannisters because they were equal agents for the Baratheons in her eyes. And if she comes across the seas to claim the throne, it won't be some great justice served, just tens of thousands more peasants and conscripted soldiers meeting gruesome ends because highborn families have royal disputes. As awesome as Dany and her chapters are right now, I don't see how anyone can sympathize with her cause right now. In the books, I never really started sympathizing with her cause until the end of book 3/beginning of book 5.
The Red Wedding threw a bit of a curveball for us readers. Adding that sudden and bloody abortion and shanking of Talisa was entirely new, and threw me back like "WTF"! In the books, they just capture Robb's wife (Jeyne) and engage her to Ramsay Bolton some time later.
One of my favorite parts of yesterday's episode was Arya's conversation with Sandor after he knocked that old guy out. That part was really well played on both sides.
Not exactly. It was Jeyne Poole who married Ramsay. Jeyne Westerling is allegedly chilling at Riverrun or possibly MIA, depending on which theory you believe.
