People really need to spend less time on Twitter and more time thinking for themselves. Do people who dislike the woke agenda truly fail to understand that being openly bigoted, by calling literally anything with a black or gay person in it “wokeness and feminist agenda”, only gives them credibility to push their agenda further? Like… you guys have to be able to grasp that shit, right?

I covered all the supposed woke shit in the show earlier.

The one black guy who was casted for a normally white character in the games/previous iterations, played his role amazingly. So what exactly is the problem? The argument you always hear from people claiming to hate wokeness is that they’re not racist, they just don’t like when people who suck are given the job because their skin is s certain color. This isn’t the case here….. so seems like just outright racism.

There is one mention of someone being vegan in the show and they’re immediately assaulted lol.

There is one gay couple on the show, and they have the most fucked up relationship of anyone in the show.

There’s one comment about an area being filled with white people. This is an area that is almost entirely white irl, so it’s just an outright factual statement.

The lead is female, which even though RE leads have in both games and other iterations been female, it’s a problem now because she’s black? Throughout the entire series she never seems superior to anyone, she routinely makes mistakes and gets others killed, she is not painted in a positive light, rather shes painted as a person who’s absolutely obsessed with writing the wrongs of her father, at ANY price.

So again, I’m waiting for anyone to tell me where all this woke, feminism, blm or whatever lie you guys are telling yourself while jerking off to people talking shit on shitter, is hiding. It’s like the same level of nonsensical when you hear people saying a girl having short or colored hair is somehow subliminal woke messaging….. it’s fucking insane.

It’s not an amazing show, it has plenty of faults, it’s fairly to laughable predictable most the time, the MC is super frustrating, and there are other annoyances, but there’s nothing even remotely resembling the shit you people are complaining about and it’s just a fun series in the RE universe. Anyone who is or isn’t a fan of the RE universe should be able to fight entertainment here; unless that person is completely fucking brainwashed, or a huge RE fanboy who’s too stupid to figure out what’s going on with Wesker…. It wasn’t hard

Just seen first going onto second episode, everything i said is true to the T.

The rich white guy who helps her break through the umbrella firewall got a clear feminist treatment of "shut up you are not important" and you get no thanks for helping me do whatever I ask you to do. The two sisters are clearly riding the oops we just not going to tell anyone about any symptoms and the critical importance of this deadly virus to anyone even when it starts to get really bad.... nice plot hole.

I mean I am biased to RE franchise so I am willing to gloss over those imperfections but even then its still a mediocre series. Who knows maybe it gets better I will watch a couple more and see

I have to disagree with this tbh. I don't think she is actually the character that her sister paints her as. I think she is afraid that she is that person, and her sister constantly says she is that person, but she isn't actually that person.

Most of her "screw ups" that get other people killed really are in no way her fault and only happen cuz other people fuck things up, or because the world is a very dangerous place and shit happens.

It's kind of a really bad writing trope that's used a lot and a bit tiresome. "Constantly say your character is the thing they fear they are so they question everything they do, even though they clearly aren't." Meh.

I mean… there are plenty of others, but those two alone resulted in deaths of her best friend and the separation of her child. Sure, the world is a dangerous place, but those are both just outright stupidity and impatience, solely resting on her. I just dropped in to say that BAXTER is the SHIT and Episode 4 was righteous.

I don't know what people are expecting from this show, but it's overall an easy watch, solid visuals and light work. Solid ambience/music.

So far, it's the Wesker & Baxter show, IMO. Billie GG.

The zombie on board was perfectly fine and wouldn't have been an issue had her daughter not disobeyed her. Plus those straps never should've broken, there is absolutely no way they break were that a real situation. It conveniently happened for plot purposes which is annoying.

She knew umbrella only did 1 thing to her, take her blood, and she had the tracker removed from her. She has a weak spot for her sister and was betrayed. Can hardly blame her for that. The blame is solely on her sister.

Like I said, it's a common, boring and usually wrong trope which I hate. It's just bad writing. I enjoyed most of the show but that "the hero is a bad person" speech her sister gave was definitely the weakest part.

Regardless of whether or not her daughter was partially to blame for not following her directions, she still massively fucked up by bringing it in without the proper security protocols and protection to begin with. Watched the whole thing, as a fellow zombie slut I've got to say most of it was fine. Way better than I expected tbh. There's a few things that ultra pissed me off. Idk how to talk about them without spoiling for others but overall it was perfectly decent. One that I can talk about is Evelyn's wife. She's just so... Out of place and illogical? The ditzy "I love puppies omggg" personality is such a weird mismatch that I dont really get it. Surely they could have made her more like Carmela Soprano where she's not a complete idiot and has some depth of character. Also I have literally zero knowledge or emotional attachment to RE as a franchise. Couldnt care less so if there's character portrayals they missed the mark badly on I wouldnt know it.

Aight if someone else said it then I'll just quote it - this is exactly the kinda shit I was talking about. Why in the fuck would you bring it on board and surely after thousands of hours around these things you'd do a better job of securing the zombie and why the fuck would the door be left open... Worst plot hole of the whole show imo.
