We all know that had literally nothing to do with it. He laughed at the joke at first then got extremely pissed after Jada did something. Then went back to laughing the rest of the night. Dude clearly has some mental health issues going on and his wife treating him the way she does isn't helpful for him. Honestly no idea why he puts up with her.

Edit: also calling what she has a "medical condition" while not explicitly incorrect it's kind of like calling a paper cut a "serious injury". It's a bit of a fucking joke and literally just an excuse to push blame away from himself.

It was the definition of insane actually. Which is why it got so much news! The odds of that happening would have been insane lol. It's not like they were at some bar and Chris Rock said what he said, which even then it would have been wrong by Smith but at least that's more "imaginable". To do that at the Oscar's is crazy
