I went in with zero expectations & I thought it was great. Night & day better than the original. Very funny. I couldn’t imagine John Cenas character being anything other than garbage but he was hilarious. They did a great job at utilizing d-lost comic book people. I normally find Margo robbies Harley Quinn overly annoying but she was pretty funny in this one. I was highly entertained

Better than previous? Yes, much. Good movie? Yeah very enjoyable watch

Watchable decent movie. Just shows how much a writer and director can really make a movie hen compared to the first try.

Cena was jacked as fuck

People are allowed their own opinions. I can definitely see why someone would put it on their top 5 list. It has way more heart, creativity and soul in it than basically any MCU film.

You can tell it is completely gunns movie. Obviously very little studio meddling happened, as with the first one, as with the MCU films.

If you like the MCU films more that's perfectly fine. They are the exact same soulless formula over and over again, meant to pander to the lowest common denominator. A lot of people like them because that's what they are meant for.

My top 5 would probably be

1. The dark knight
2. Spider verse
3. Logan
4. Deadpool 2
5. Deadpool or justice league

Just because I don’t hate the mcu like everyone else here does to be cool doesn’t mean I idolize them either

With that being said I think I prefer at least iron man to this, maybe a couple others

Iron Man is a great movie. It was also largely improve and done before the MCU became popular and was converted into what it has become.

I think it's strange to include spider verse in the list. It should be split between live action and animated, I don't think there is any reasonable way you could have a top 5 not be at least 4 animated movies if you are combining LA and animation.

I don't think it's hating to point out what the MCU does. It does what it does very well, it's just what it does isn't unique or creative in any way.

Every movie on your list (with the exception of Logan) all kind of fit the same description I gave for suicide squad. Movies made from a vision of the director with minimal studio meddling. Makes movies a lot better when you can see the love and soul infused into them, rather than just being an assembly line job.

The Suicide Squad was easily better than both Deadpools and Justice League imo.
