Indeed season2 of BCS was quite slow. I had to really force myself to make it through.

But S3/4 were way better. The show has the same Gilligan polish, it's very high quality.

How can you say that they are "trying to make too much money"? They are just throwing it on Netflix. If they were in it for max profit, they'd put it in theaters or at least makie people pay individually to stream it on a service like Amazon, googleplay etc.

I think that the reason there is no marketing for the movie is because they know that it isn't going to blow audiences away. It's just an addendum movie to round out the universe.

This is becoming more and more true. Netflix is the easy way to cash-in these days. It is BB though, you'd think it'd have enough of a following to succeed in w/e market it was released, but early screenings can absolutely murder revenue for movies that people are already on the fence about.
