Agreed. I thought it was pretty mediocre at best & extremely over rated in the media.

Heavily disagree. It was okay at best. It was above average for what we've come to expect out of DC, but overall it wasn't worth the time. Over the top effects, bad acting, bad story, and a moral that was actually decent until they said, hey, fuck this moral we've been pushing to the viewers the entire movie, lets have two gods duke it out, that's much more entertaining than a cohesive and complete story.



Funny how the media works these days.

Black Panther and Wonder Woman are both raved as revolutionary films when they were mediocre at best and maybe slightly above average if someone is being overly generous. I wonder why they were praised so much, hmmmmmmm, what could it possibly be?

Yeah. Man of Steel has been by far the best DCU film. Wonder Women had a mediocre plot, script, action scenes, humor, antagonist, & as a result was an incredibly mediocre film overall.

I mean, Man of Steel was the same though imo. Glad you liked it, but I thought they were about equal in terms of mediocrity.

I never really liked the cavill superman besides the fights. Those were cool. Otherwise I don't think he was well written as superman. The whole dceu is poorly done with over dark tones. If they had some fun with the films they'd do a lot better.

What you're saying is that if they tried to copy Marvel "they'd do a lot better". Dark works. Nolan killed it by creating a dark/gritty Batman universe. It worked with V for Vendetta, Watchman, and Logan as well. All of those movies are vastly superior to almost everything Marvel has ever done. DC has been on the right track, but they keep shooting themselves in the fucking leg by hiring mediocre-shit directors/writers and by allowing the studio to meddle with the final product as much as they have.

e: I would MUCH prefer DC to keep doing it their own way vs giving in and copying Marvel to try and cater to the masses of cretins who think CGI and bad one-liners equal a great film.
