i dont get people who cry overrated, even when i was a kid i remember telling a friend my favorite band was metallica and he was like wow man theyre so overrated like who gives a shit idc they sound good i like them. does it bother you that the liking of a movie was established before you got to it?
at the end of the day we're all watching movies on earth so of course most of you have seen whats in his list as theyre essentials for anyone watching movies on earth.
making a movie isnt as easy as making music. it isnt likely youll find a movie you never heard of when you personally have seen thousands and critics worldwide spend their lives digging through even the most obscure places so it can even be known enough to get to your attention.
my list would look something similar to yours but yours is missing oldboy.

Godfather is the most overrated movie. Wasn't even that good.
i haven't seen it in about 6 years so i cant say much but i remember back in 2012 when i was obsessing over directors like a teenage girl does to <insert current popstar here> read this trivia from imdb "According to his close friend Michael Herr, he watched The Godfather (1972) over ten times and said it was probably the greatest film ever made." he in reference to stanley kubrick. though obviously you shouldn't value the opinion of others too much at the end of the day if you didnt like it then you didnt like it.
