I'd agree but despite being a boring bland episode it is the only one who's ending wasn't garbage imo. Learning that they went to get a kid a teddy bear and not like medication or something (which they imply) is a pretty big kick in the ass.
Like 3-4 people or whatever died to try and make life less shit for a child.
Fair point. It was still just a painfully bad episode, but you're right, it did have one of the only(actually, the only I think?) twists/gut punches, that was effective in the entire season. Season 5 hasn't yet been confirmed, but I assume it will be within the next few months. I hope that this season is just an anomaly, and not what will become the norm. Most people I've talked to seem to be overall disappointed with the season, and hopefully that criticism will be enough to keep the writers from becoming complacent with their work.
I'm not trying to downplay what these people do by any means of course. To write as many episodes as they have all with some sort of connection to technology, is already impressive when you take into account how amazing some of them have been. There have been duds throughout the show, but this shit isn't easy, and when you're forced to always play with a technology component, it has to be insanely frustrating to try and come up with fresh and entertaining ideas each season.
