Damn... This is a much longer wait than I had anticipated. Shitty, but I hop it allows them to finish it exactly how they want with no compromises.

I am beyond hyped for the final season, and I'm still confused by all the flack the show is getting. The same argument/complaint is made over and over, it's nothing like GoT was, it doesn't have any if the finesse or subtlety that it had before. Well duh, it's coming to a close lol. When you've had 5 years worth of character building, epic stories, twists, turns and epic surprises, it's inevitable that these things will conclude, and the show will finish in an epic blockbuster film style. Sure, that's never been what I've loved about GoT, I could do without the excessive CGI, explosions or epic battles, because the show has been so good, it hasn't needed them, but how the fuck do you think a show that's been headed in the direction of man's possible extinction since the first season, could end any other way than multiple big budget, CGI filled epic battles? We've known since we learned about the threat of the walkers that this was coming.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if 90% of the cast got killed off during this last season, in fact, I'm expecting it, but I don't understand how people can't understand that the previous season was just setting up those last final pieces to make way for the shit show we are all going to be on the edge of our seats for? I think it's going to be great, and while the previous season was lackluster, it was EXACTLY what I thought it would be, which only increases my anticipation and hope for the finale.

Get on the hype train people, and if you can't understand what they were going for in the last season, then maybe it's time to say fuck it and drop the show. I do it all the time when I feel a show has lost its way.

I'm debating.about rewatching the show before the next season starts. What are you thoughts, feelings on binging the whole thing?

Lots of differences. The number of characters you see in the show are not even half of the characters from the books. The books also have a stronger fantasy feel to them than they show did. The first 3 or so season are pretty faithful to the books but after that well.......yea. There is a reason martin stop being so involved and writing an episode per season....

Duno what people bitching about, all of the reunions and characters meeting face to face for the first time ever after long ass 5-6 seasons was fucking awesome and emotional.

I agree This show is heading where it's supposed to, as mich as we enjoy epic dialouge in GOT battles and CGI is inevitable now, they keep it cool and to the minimum and let's be real some of them are absolutely amazing
