^ This type of reasoning is wayyyyy too popular. I have shit expectations, so you should too, and if you don't like a bad movie, you're a snob. I'm not saying this will be bad, there's no way to know with 100 % certainty at this time. It doesn't look great form the trailer, but that's irrelevant. No movie just gets a free pass because you think it should, or because anyone thinks it should, just not how it works. It can work that way for you or course, but expecting others to accept that type of reasoning is ludicrous.
The transformer movie argument is just

The first one wasn't an absolute fucking disgrace, and if any halfway decent director took a fresh shot at the franchise, they could push out at least an okay movie or two, while almost everything Bay has done has been compete fucking trash, all of those movies but the first have been unwatchable or not worth watching. It's insane that this guy makes as much money as he does with these steaming piles of shit.... I'd keep letting him direct too if I was the studio, but from a fan perspective, lining up for anything Bay does is like the ultimate exercise in insanity. It'll never make sense to me, but I'm not some big studio director pushing out garbage, or one of his targeted audience members.
