Previous were much MUCH better... In fact I rewatched them after watching this abomination. Aside from poor CGI on Ryuk, it was very solid.

Poor CGI and horrendous acting made those pretty unwatchable. Effects matter little to me, but acting is very important. Of course almost anything will be better than this Americanized bullshit. The others at least somewhat kept to the source material, which is pretty fucking important if you're going to do a movie adaptation. If you don't want to keep anything the same, just change the fucking name, but then they wouldn't trap people like myself who only watched it, even knowing it'd be awful, because of the name.

Normally I'd agree, but one might not want to encourage Netflix to sponsor further sacrilegious works by watching the movie on their site, or give money to the creators of this content.

Personally I have no plans of watching this on Netflix or anywhere else.

This movie was terrible

i just started watching. about 30-45 minutes in. i think its pretty cool.. better than final destination lol

They should've done multiple hour long episodes & really stayed true to the anime

Then it would just be better to watch the anime.
I'd rather they did a completely different take on it with no similarities other than the book and maybe the death god

Watch the anime. It's very good.
If Death Note is a 9/10 then this is like a 2-3.
