Sure they are, it's a formula that pays off but nobody forces you to watch them, there are plenty of good movies comming out regularly.
But the issue is the formula makes money because the average consumer is a fucking idiot (prime example being chelsea11) and the more a formula works the less other things are given a chance. I mean look at stand up comedy, 90% of it is the bullshit "set up story, set up expectation, defy expectation". It is crap and people eat it up and it kills real genuinely funny people who don't fall in line. That's my main problem with these formulaic movies, I see it heading in that direction.
I mean FFS can marvel fucking hire someone who is passionate about the project and let them make it? Turned out great for gotg1 and Avengers 1. It is all the same bullshit over and over now and it keeps making money so it wont stop.
