But the issue is the formula makes money because the average consumer is a fucking idiot (prime example being chelsea11) and the more a formula works the less other things are given a chance. I mean look at stand up comedy, 90% of it is the bullshit "set up story, set up expectation, defy expectation". It is crap and people eat it up and it kills real genuinely funny people who don't fall in line. That's my main problem with these formulaic movies, I see it heading in that direction.

I mean FFS can marvel fucking hire someone who is passionate about the project and let them make it? Turned out great for gotg1 and Avengers 1. It is all the same bullshit over and over now and it keeps making money so it wont stop.

Movies making money doesn't mean they're good.. Both Avengers films have been shit. Most of these will be bad, but that's alright,,hopefully we'll get at least 2 or 3 actually good films out of the lot.

If you wanted mindless entertainment with genetic scripts proven to resonate with the average moviegoer and critics, go to a Disney film. If you want something with any depth, do not go to a Disney film.

All of you bashing on marvel, let me ask you a serious question:
Do you like Star Wars?

Because if you say you do, then all of you aren't hyprocrites. Star Wars is so bad lol, and the numbers they get are just as crazy as marvel. I think the last Star Wars is top3 in terms of box office.

And literally almost all movies that get big $$ are predictable. Like how is a superhero movie not going to be predictable? Literally idk why you guys don't like Marvel, but literally everyone else loves it.

Disney and mcd don't partner anymore. The sauce won't be back, at least not fit that reason. They might bring it back to shut Rick and Morty fans up.

I honestly see no reason to remake Mulan. They could do nothing except make a worse version. The one that exists is already pretty perfect. And I mean if you want a historically accurate Mulan well that isn't a kids story and a live action one already exists.

Why should you remake Lion King, Jugnle Book, Dumbo, etc.?

They just make a real life adaption of the source material and from what I heard Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast were pretty good.
