I was hoping he wouldn't think about, he'd watch one, and then realize he's wasting his time on trash movies.

Edit : that very specific genre is pretty fucking limited. If you want a real suggestion, that sorta hits, check out Three Kings.

Just because movies aren't Oscar worthy doesn't mean they can't be enjoyable. Trash movies can be one of lifeys great joys if you let them. They aren't emotional and moving like the great movies usually are but they can be really fun, especially with friends/people who aren't movie buffs/critics.

Most people (gen public) go to movies for entertainment, and can find it in the cheesy action oriented simple plot features.

Why do you think the Marvel movies are so popular? They basically took that last sentence and made it into a script-creating program.

Popular doesn't = good. The Transformer movies and Fast and the Furious movies are also insanely popular, and those are just terrible.

I have no qualms with people enjoy bad movies, I've got plenty of cheesy action movies that I'll always love and that I'll always watch with a stupid smile on my face.

Like I said, this genre in particular, isn't exactly vast and there's really just not much there. Three Kings was the only good adventurous type movie I could think of off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are others.
